Tsungirirai studied with the University of South Africa and obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree. Her career commenced when she joined Justice for Children as a legal assistant in April 2014. Tsungirirai was responsible for assisting children in conflict with the law as well as dealing with all family law related matters.
In February 2016 Tsungirirai joined Gutu and Chikowero attorneys as an Associate and she rose through the ranks to become an Associate Partner, a position she holds to date. Her area of practice includes general civil and criminal litigation with a particular focus on family law as well as commercial law disputes. She has represented clients in both inferior and superior courts of Zimbabwe. She is also responsible for general practice management and supervision of support staff.
Tsungirirai is a member of the Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors and regularly writes on various legal issues on behalf of the Institute. Tsungirirai has been involved in the World Bank’s Doing Business Project as a contributor for the Doing Business report since 2016. She has attended various legal trainings and conferences over the years. Tsungirirai is also a trustee for various non-profit organizations.
