Tomiwa Ilori is currently a doctoral researcher at the Centre for Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria. He also works as a researcher at the Centre’s Expression, Information and Digital Rights Unit. His research examines the relationship between digital colonialism, online harms, platform governance and their impacts on the right to freedom of expression in Africa. His main areas of research are international human rights law, the African human rights system, digital rights, emerging technologies and ICT policy. He has worked with organisations in various capacities and produced several outputs with respect to his area of research.
